ADSENSE

AdSense is Google's product which allows website owners to display relevant ads on their websites in order to earn the revenue generated by clicks on that ads. Google offers a certain share of the revenue generated by clicks on the ads displayed on website of a publisher.

Website owners can register in this advertising program by signing up Adsense and can display text, image, video and simple link ads as per the settings opted in the Adsense Account. Although, there are some default color themes for Ads but publishers can customize ads according to the colors and templates of their websites.

A publisher can select on which pages and places he wants the ads to display. Publishers can also choose the appropriate ad unit with proper size to be fit on the pages where ads are to be displayed.

It is recommended to manage ad units in custom channels for keeping managed and categorizing the ads according to your own settings. You can also keep viewing the performance of ads by putting them in proper channels you made for them.

Click Through Rate (CTR) is a basic phenomenon to conclude the performance of your ads or channels. If CTR is not very good then you should consider changing the place of your ads and then check the results after some significant time.

ADCENTER

AdCenter is Microsoft’s CPC Ad Network. AdCenter is quite novel in search engine marketing but still it offers several solid features like dayparting. Microsoft’s AdCenter though, can be an emerging online marketing tool but for the moment, it has low awareness and market if compared to Google Adwords
